How does the battery do when in gps mode? I have a droid incredible and while the gps option is really cool, it eats battery at an alarming rate.

What's eating battery charge the most is the display. It would be best to install a power outlet and use the car charging cord while continuously running any phone as a GPS. But then it's best to run power to a dedicated GPS as well, even in a car or truck.



If you just take the phone out when you stop to get your bearing, then the battery should last a bit longer. It would still be better if you could charge it while riding, or while camped at night.
