A good Father’s Day often entails taking the kids for a ride somewhere.

Fathers Day Gift I Think

My daughter treating me to a nose hair removal session on fathers day. It's sort of like getting a tooth removed but without the anesthesia. Yeeeeeoooouuuucccchhhh. If you gotta know, yes my eye's watered and it hurt a little.

Sometimes I wonder why I agree to do the things I do.

Well Mel, we just gotta figure out the where and when for a get together. Would you be up for some road riding along the coastline up where those Pacific Northwesterners, Idahoans, and Nor Cal folks can more readily meet up? Something like the mouth of the Klamath River, get in some redwoods, some seafood as well as more nose hair removal? I can recommend the Klamath River RV Park just before river dumps into ocean.

RV park has gone a little upscale since I stayed there. However you used be able to drive the beaches on tribal land plus rent simple campsite right on the sand spit. Very popular when the salmon are running. images-6.jpeg
Promise we wouldn’t chain you to the stove and make you cook for everyone like in Moab.
‘course there’s always Mel’s Diner at the local casino and you’ld be welcome to more of my easy trails.:p

I’m open to suggestions from any and all. Figured Nor-Cal redwoods are within a days drive for many, offers a less crowded yet unique experience, plus a little research can come up with slower TW friendly country backroads like riding through Prairie Creek redwood state park and Redwood National park.

This could be of interest to us here depending on the time. Take a bit to get there from here so would have to do some vacation day calculations once the timing starts working it's way out.

I had missed this part of the thread until it was pointed out to me. I bet some others are missing this ride talk as well since it's posted in here. Hint Hint.
