Hard starting...

Bike was fine until I messed with it

It is not wanting to start but when it did last weekend it ran fine. I detailed the bike last weekend which included taking off the tank. I am wondering if doing so dislodged gunk to the carb. I also cleaned the rather dry air filter and oiled it up and last time I did this I remember that it was harder to start. Maybe its an A/F problem that jets would improve. The bike has started on the first or second try up until now.

Thoughts?

Too much oil on the filter?

Could be. I will open up and try without.

It turned out to be the choke acting a little funny. I pulled it out just like every other time over the last couple of years but it took some fiddling. I may have to take the carb apart to see why.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions.
