I met a jack of all trades in Phoenix when I traded my 4 mile 1996 Rainbow Warrior for a Honda Grom that had like $6k in custom upgrades - He was probably the perfect buyer for my best TW find in my 20 year collecting history but he showed me the Foam Cannon and what it's used for

I only wish I had found ths item 20 years ago with all the car, truck and bike washing I've done this would have saved so much elbow grease and been so much more tender and nice to my rigs

Tonight I'm finally cleaning up my pair of 1996 Honda Reflex TLR200's I have had them a bout 6 years and am finally preparing them for sale or trade,. I thought I would share pics of the foam cannon process using a small gas operated Honda pressur4e washer 2000 psi and an MTM foam cannon using Adams soap

'll post more commentary later I have to get to the final hand wash stage where I let the foam sit 20 minutes them lightly pressure wash with water and then a final hand wash mit wash with dish soap and water - the foam lidts all the caked on stuff that may have been sitting in cracks and crevices for years and gently loosens dirt from all over - it does not harm paint, plastic, decals or yourself

One of these TLR's has 430 miles and the other has 18 original miles and I believe may be the nicest or one of the top 5 nicest TLR200 Reflex Hondas left in the world
more news at all lol
PS I realize this is not directly showing a TW in the process but as you can see heres 4 nice low mile TW's (2005 - 215 miles) (2017 - 545 miles) (2014 - 405 miles) (2020 - 73 miles) all prepped the same way using Adams soap and the MTM Foam Cannon

the foam is great for cleaning out all the grit and dust from areas like the airbox / battery box area etc

They’re great, just don’t go nuts with it. Soap can damage electronics and that soap covers every inch. Especially the non-ph balanced soaps used for muddy atvs and such. It’ll burn your skin.

can you show us examples of either scenario ?

if you can get it wet with water then foam is no problem and most bikes can handle pressure sprayed water - can you show examples of foam being any risk more so than water ?

what ATV soaps to remove mud from ATV's would burn skin and why would such a product ever be made , used or sold, examples please ?

my fav business / life coach would often do Q&A to help coach salespeople and more than once she would ask if the specific scenario ever actually happened because she had been in sales for decades and had never encountered such objections etc and the person asking the question would admit it was just a made up scenario they had imagined the coach would then say go out in the real world and if you get such objections come back and ask again

I just don't want anybody to be needlessly scared away from such a fantastic technique that I have used on aprx 200 bikes since I earned about it

Again today I had a guy stop by my shop since I had a bay door open and ask what I was doing with all the brand new TW's and I shared that some were 17 years old just low miles and well cleaned thanks to the foam cannon

This is one of the soaps I use a detailer introduced to me before a complete striping & detailing on his customers cars. I used it on our atv's & it tore up my hands if I wasn't careful and damaged the display screens on a few Can-Am quads after a few washes. It also damaged the matte finish on the bike in the photo above, and also seemed to damage the mirrors edges, chrome spokes and other bits with constant use. It will irritate your hands just after a few minutes.
Amazon.com: Chemical Guys CWS_301_64 Citrus Wash & Gloss Foaming Car Wash Soap (Works with Foam Cannons, Foam Guns or Bucket Washes) For Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles, RVs & More, 64 fl oz (Half Gallon) Citrus Scent : Automotive
Most car wash soaps are mild, pH balanced/neutral (think baby shampoo) and harmless, but don't work as well as the non-pH balanced soaps The higher pH soaps strip waxes and contaminants much better due to their high pH, and around 12 pH, you'd have to wear gloves.
This is the pH balanced soap I use now. Notice on the bottom it says pH balanced...
Amazon.com: Chemical Guys CWS202 Tough Mudder Foaming Truck, Off Road and ATV and RV Heavy Duty Wash Soap, (Works with Foam Cannons, Foam Guns or Bucket Washes), 128 fl oz (1 Gallon), Lemon Scent : Everything Else

Also, just using water in a pressure washer will just roll off the surfaces and foam soap sits and sticks on the surface, giving it more time to penetrate the small orifices and seams on the bike.

Which Adams soap or Foam are you using? I'd love to find a better way to clean my TW and Quads after a ride in coal country...

The soap I'm using is Adams Mega Foam it's red like transmission fluid but smells divine!

I see you tubers using a very watery mix like 90% water and very little soap which is better than nothing bur seems kinda meek IMO

I use 50 50 soap to water and it goes on thick like old fashioned shaving cream

My Dodge RAM was filthy with road grime from a snowy rainy trip from Prescott to SLC and back I was dreading cleaning it but I did 3 heavy foam coats and them lightly pressure washed rinsed and it was almost 100% clean like I had hand washed it I was shocked

I even cleaned the frame and suspension that way since it was covered in road salt etc
