Since Top and his wife are making the trip I planned on casually mentioning inviting you on a ride as well. Since he has publicly let the cat out of the bag on his own let me know and we will plan a ride around meeting you! I plan on exploring Finger Lakes National Forest for the first time! Nearly 17,000 acres that I have NEVER explored and it is just outside the campground There just has to be some decent seasonal roads throughout.Where are you going camping and riding? Can I crash the party?
You know Painted Post, NY is just over the hill from where we will be riding................ I know, I know you are a loner. If you get thirsty, go to "Two Goats Brewing" about a mile south of Smith Park. The owner rides dirt bikes. I used to camp at Smith Park when the kids were young and have driven through the Forrest many times but only saw trees. There is a nice little Diner on the side road near the gas station in Hector.

Not a loner just antisocial. I keep a boat in Watkins Glen and hang out in the Burdett-Hector area a lot. I was riding the TW up there Wednesday after getting the bike inspected at Lane's Yamaha across the lake. Too bad all the waterfalls in the area have dried up. I will definitely be keeping my eye out for TW's this weekend. You know Painted Post, NY is just over the hill from where we will be riding................ I know, I know you are a loner.
The water is clear because the lake was infested with Zebra Mussels about 25 years ago. Each one can filter a quart of water a day and there are billions of them. The clear water allows heavy vegetation growth close to shore but the bottom drops off quickly (600 feet where you are). Geneva used to be called the "lake Trout Capital of the USA" but the fishing is not as good as it used to be. Doesn't bother me because I'm too lazy to fish. The water sure is clear with a lot of vegetation. How's the fishing on Senica Lake?
