I found a clear acrylic headlight guard on Ebay for the older Kawasaki KLR, since it has the same size headlight as a TW I decided to give it a try. It goes on with sticky velcro so it will come off easy for cleaning. Good idea, but not a fan of the Velcro marks. There must be some clear tape to use

Yeah I had a choice between black or white velcro, white may be a little less noticeable, Perhaps I chose poorly.

What about a dab of silicone in each corner?

That ain't a bad idea, but it wouldn't be easy to pop off for cleaning. Maybe I'll find something. I can live with black velcro better than a broken light

Won't the adhesive go bad from the heat of the headlight?

I don't think it will, I ran one like it on a BMW for years with no problem. I'll find out this summer, if it fails I'll report it.

I use silicone on submersible pool and spa lights, which are 400 watt bulbs...it hasn't fried it yet. Sometimes tricky to get off, but thats more heat than a tw would put out.
