Hi, my names Bobby and I am stationed at Edwards AFB in Southern California. I have been riding dirt bikes for a few years now and decided to sell my 91 cr250r and get into a tdub. So glad I did! This bike is amazing! I have 100 miles on it already and can't get enough. Couple questions, first are there many of you from California? I am looking to get to know some locals so we can plan weekend trips all around the area. Second question, are these bikes indestructible or what!? I know I should baby her for awhile but I assume the break in should be like how you ride it daily. I commute 5 miles to work and 5 miles back daily so its not too hard. But when I wake up in the morning I have lots of desert I hit. Tons of trails around here. I am also looking for a large storage box for the back that I can throw all my camping gear into, any ideas? Well I am anxious to hear from you all.

Glad to hear there are a few local riders! I will definately want to do some group rides whenever possible. I have done the rubbermaid action packer mod and so far it seems to be working well. Next I am looking for a gas can mod to hold an addition 1.5-2.5 gallons of fuel for longer trips. Is there a section in the forum for get togethers and rides? That would be awesome to get some local people to chime in and see what their thoughts are for this summer.

Independence is a good little ride from edwards afb. That would be a great warm up ride thru red rock canyon. would like to hit the rubicon this summer and camp out at one of the lakes they have in the trail.

I think it's part of the training curriculum.



I've seen some impressive military flying skills applied to scaring the crud outta lone civilians.



I'm convinced that they get extra points if the target is horseback.

I had one put me in the drink once...south fork of the Kern River at Kennedy Meadows. Heard a rumble from upstream, by the time I turned around he was on me. I coulda hit him with a jar of Pautzkes.

ALSO, cali crew; If I buy a bike from a private party who has let the registration expire due to non-use....is there a penelty when I go to register the bike myself after he signs it over to me?
