Ok so i became a member of this forum because my buddy went into the navy with a started "not nearly complete 1987 project and well now im finishing it for him. as i have been reading on i have gained a sort of respect for the bike "not his" but the tw200. i want one of my own soon"not an 87" but any after that year... i am here to formally apologize for rude forum use i should have introduced myself hi im Austin

Welcome Austin. There's a pretty good bunch here. Longtime riders and very knowledgeable. Oddly, I've had several TWs, but somehow find I really like my 1987. It ain't much to look at but runs superbly.

i just dont like the idea of the cdi problem and the odd wiring harness other wise i think the older the better.. thanks for the welcome =]

There is an aftermarket cdi that makes up for this shortcomming.



It's programable!
