Had a really great ride with Admiral today on about an 80-mile loop in the mountains east of Boise. He did the planning and will give the full ride report, (as well as posting some videos too I hope). I was intrigued by his latest camera mount and thought you might need to see it. Don't laugh... I seemed to work really well! I'll let the videos speak for themselves once he posts the report.



Just thought I'd also express my appreciation to him for a really fun ride and accommodation for my lesser riding skills. If you've grown to appreciate what a nice guy he is here in the forum, you'd find he's every bit that in person. Thanks buddy for a fun day.

I look like I belong on the Red Green Show. Only thing missing on that "high-tech" helmet mount is some gray ducktape! I shall name it the "notgounpro" helmet mount. I hope the video turns out alot better than the look of this! Yikes! I'm glad the Boise County Sheriff Deputy didn't start laughing when we were talking to him.



I believe I will invest in a new camera system this winter. I'm also glad I can laugh at myself, cause that there helmet mounts pretty dorky looking!

I call that a high quality mount. I may give it a try and see if I can come up with a video.

Admiral, I would say that you have gotten some great video's with that camera. I would like to see what the 'helmet mount' produced, as I have a Kodak as well. Yes, you look like a dork, then again, I suspect, early on, lots of folks thought Bill Gates was a dork.......... Gerry

looks like a cool helmet cam. i noticed it looks like you screwed it to your helmet.is that one of the screw mounts for the visor? your not worried about making the helmet weaker? usually when you drop a helmet or put a hole in it, its no longer able to save your melon.

Yep, it's a visor screw mount that's not in use with this visor.
