Last Spring, I was browsing CraigsList, and found a near mint 1975 Honda CB125S that really caught my eye for somewhere around $800. I wanted it really bad, but figured 125cc wasn't enough, and besides, I had to get my 500cc cruiser going. Well, the money I could have used to buy it, I put it in my bike. Sad thing is, I never got the cruiser working as it needed to work, and rode it less than 200 miles all last season. In fact, that bike's issues helped me in deciding to get the TW. Well, since I've had the TW, I have a new appreciation for single cylinder engine, and smaller cc motorcycles. I still want a 1975 (and yes, specifically that year. I love the color scheme) CB125S.

I'm getting rid of my 500cc cruiser as I have had it up to my eye lids with that bike, but I do eventually want to get another cruiser. Heck, even if I had a CB125S, I'd probably rarely ride it. Although, it does seem like it would be just as fun of a bike as the TW is, though more limited to where I can take it, unlike the TW.

Anyhow, I guess I'm just thinking out loud, or on the forum, as the case might be, but heck, that's why this section is here, right?

Take care all,

Dan

I used to have a 1981 CB125s. I rode it back and forth to work and school and used it in the trails as if it were an enduro. I venture to say that I took it anywhere that I could have taken a TW, although the TW would have made my adventures a little easier. Extremely tough bike, excellent gas mileage, and a pleasure to ride. Heck, you might already have a CB125s (your TW lol).

The CB/CL/SL/XL 100s and 125s were great little bikes. Tough as nails. 125s Can be bored and stroked to 173cc. These engines love stroke. Yoshimura used to make magnesium heads and cylinders, and a 6-speed trans for these bikes.

Boring is a waste of time. Honda bored the 100 to get the 125 and gained 0.5hp. Stroke is the way to go. I built one a few years ago for a friend and he got the parts from Powerol.
