I bought a tdub registered in 1994, but I am not sure what year it is. I've read that the '87 has a different wiring diagram than the '88-'94 ones. How do I tell them apart?

It has an electrical and kick start and double brake drums. I know there are carburetor differences but I don't know how to tell them apart.

kwizrd's right on.

but if it's damaged or missing, post a pic too, the different years are pretty distinctive color schemes.

Since you have a drum brake on the front you have to have an 1987 to 2000.

If your sticker is gone, you can identify your year by referring to your VIN number. The 10th digit represents your model's year.

H = 1987

J = 1988

K = 1989

L = 1990

M = 1991

N = 1992

P = 1993

R = 1994

S = 1995

T = 1996

V = 1997

W = 1998

X = 1999

Y = 2000

Turns out it's a '92 TW200M or MC, which doesn't feature a kickstand or clutch cutoff, apparently no meter or neutral lights, nor a "starting circuit cutoff relay", whatever it is; so the manual floating around is of no use. My CDI only has 8 wires.

It was heavily customized and I can't ask the owner, so I'm trying to figure out what exactly the wires do.
