I have been looking at 225's on yahoo japan with mild interest, essentialy because of the gearbox. I plan to get some engine work done to my bike in the future once i get it finished and get to ride it for a while. but i figure it's probably best to just go for a 6 speed box build at the same time as the engine mods, like querty is planning, cheaper. However if i could find a Complete 225 bike here i would snap it ip to make a second more standard trail bike as apposed to my hollow mod.
If i needed an engine I'd pay max about 550USD for a mint one. I see on yahoo Jp a good one is going for about 20 000 to 45 000yen 200-580USD BUY IT NOW PRICE, plus shipping, agent and all the other costs and headaches. 600 USD buys a hell of a lot of engine mods and spare parts

if the costs involved in importing where low i'd consider this as a nice project engine to work on whilst using my bike.
Not read Rinkya terms and condition regarding what they charge, and customs here are the most corrupt goverment agency. could cost me an arm and a leg if not done right.
Off subject, (sorry risingsun) SR400/500's are the most popular Japanese import bikes to customise here, with the TW being second.
Is anyone in this forum interested in SR's??.
I wonder if the SR engine is a possible swop candidate?, with some serious frame mods and the usual bearing offset etc problems? They output 30HP standard and very easy to mod apparently with lots of scope. I read one guy dyned his at 50BHP. Single cilinder is inkeeping with the TW. This is beyond my knowlege scope just a thought as we would all like more HP.
I wanted to but this beauty in BKK but my missus threatened to do unspeakables if i did. $2600 USD. i am still lusting after it though.
