You really need to download the manual and read up on the clutch. It is the best way to fully understand how to remove it. Its available here if you don't have it.

You'll take off the right side engine cover after draining the oil.

Then you will need to remove the four screws that hold on the pressure plate.

Remove the clutch and friction plates by sliding them out.

You'll be left with just the clutch basket. Look at the middle of the clutch basket and you'll find a large nut with a locking washer around it. Use a screw driver and hammer and gently tap the "wings" of the washer away from the nut. You'll need a clutch holder tool (or make your own, or improvise-just something to keep the basket from moving) and remove the large nut.

That should be it, but I know I probably missed something.

The first, second, third, etc. times I read up on the clutch in the manual it didn't make sense. The manual only made sense when I opened up the bike and I could see what the manual read about.

Hope this helps a little. Take your time, take pictures, ask questions.

You only need the clutch basket tool if the engine is out of the frame. Simply put the trans and 5th, apply the rear brake, and you'll have plenty of resistance to turn the clutch basket nut.
