I guess this comes under "adventure riding".

It was a beautiful day -- almost hot!

Speed limit is 50. I was doing 60+. Almost everyone passed me.

The ole T-dub is running gooood! That's with a 55 tooth sprocket? I guess it's no big deal for you guys, but riding in that kind of traffic would make me nervous. I prefer the dirt and wide open spaces. I did enjoy the video, though. Thanks.

For those of you from outside of the San Francisco bay area, Highway 17 is basically a steep, narrow, heavily traveled, curvy racetrack. I don't even like driving it in a car.

I don't have a tach on my TW, but I am pretty sure that I've never gotten close to 9600 rpm.

Tony, you are a braver man than I am!

Thanks to all for your comments. Yes it is a 14/55 sprocket set up. As for being braver, maybe foolish Is a better explanation. However I find the more I travel Hwy 17 on the TW the more comfortable I am doing it. Going uphill once you lose your speed it takes forever to get it back.

I captured this picture from the original recording. The tach is on the handlebars. Once I took this picture I slowed it down to around 8,800 to 9,000 rpm.

And I must add I wish there was more dirt to ride on around here. Unfortunately it is all reserved for bicycles, hikers and horses.
