I am doing chain maintenance on my TW's after the Clear Lake Ride and noticed on the chain I lengthened with a short segment of non-o-ring chain that the o-ring chain looked a lot better! I don't think that the difference has anything to do with the o-rings them self but with the quality of the metal the chain is made from.
So maybe o-ring chains are superior for reason other than or in addition to the o-ring themselves?
