So I found this 91 TW with right around 2000 miles on it. It shows it's age here and there, light rust on brackets and such. The seller's best price so far is $1700, but I think it's worth around $1300 MAX.

Two weeks ago, I bought a 97 model with 3700 miles on it for 1500.00. The machine is in pristene condition, never set outside, no rust, not even a rock chip. Keep looking!

Mileage not age, remember they haven't really changed and some know that. I would put it at $1500 if it looks good. Offer $1400 if you want it. JMO

The best part is it most likely has a kick starter, that is worth something. It is not always downhill if your battery dies.

I pirchased a 91 for 1500 bucks and i have no regrets. Im willing to bet an 01 is worth just as much as a 91 in same condition they are the same bike. Offer 14 and settle for 15 if necessary. Good luck dude!!

i got a 2000 with 8k+ miles for $1500 and it was by no means in pristine condition...it has a lot to do with location also...if they are hard to come by in that area they will go for more money



this seems low since it doesn't factor in the low mileage...i would go no more than $1500...

I don't know what the deal on that "army bike" is, but it has been for sale at least since Dec 12. It's either junk, non negotiable $, or a scam of some kind.

They are worth what people are willing to pay for them. For a clean example with low miles, in good mechanical condition, the KBB prices are quite a bit low, IMHO. Mainly because they are so similar throughout the history of the bikes' production. The only one that I might shy away from is the MY 1987. Even then, a smoking deal would get me to jump. It seems to me that someone will always find a better deal, no matter how good a deal you think you got. It sounds to me that the bike you're talking about may de worth around $1400 or so, depending on the total package.
