I removed this part when I noticed oil leaking and now I can't seem to get it back in. Located on the left side of bike and immediately to the left of the carb idle adjustment. It has two hex screws that hold it in place (has a bolt in the middle). Does anyone know what it is and how to get in back in place. Also, the gasket deteriorated and I'm wondering if I can use a gasket sealant instead of ordering a new gasket. Thanks for any help!

It's your cam chain tensioner. There's a spring and locking mechanism under that center bolt head that needs to be disassembled before you can install it. Don't try installing it without disassembling it.
