Ignition Coil

I have a 1988 and my ignition coil (white) has a crack in it. The fiche says I need part #4RP-82310-29-00 (white) which happens to be about $65. According to the fiche the newer TWs, as well as a number of other bikes, use part # 3KJ-82310-10-00 (black) which is only about $27. I know my coil has an orange wire with a bullet connector on it. Maybe its different on the newer black coils? Does anyone know if theyre interchangeable?
