Hey guys I just read a thread where someone has rode 50 machines in his life..
How about putting a few #'s up for the rest of us.. I'm thinking roughly about 120 different bikes. Give or take a few..
I counted 100 10 years ago, So I've slowed down riding strangers bikes lately.. OMM.

The was me. I've owned and ridden more than 50 motorcycles in my life. Sorry, I don't have many photos. lost 90 % of everything in a fire about 20 years ago.
I started out with a Harley servicar trike then went to an R-26 BMW and was off and running on a motorcycle life.

I don't count other peoples bikes I have ridden.

I have been too busy riding my own to ride other peoples bikes. Besides one of the few times I did ride someone elses bike, the engine siezed as I turned it off.
I had not been abusing it but felt really bad about it. Probably one of the reasons I seldom did it.

I typically have 2-3 bikes at any given time. (The stay married limit) It seems that there are a few that I keep long term, while others are projects to restore and pass on. Can't say that there is a bike that I have hated really. Just some "fit" my needs better at the time.
The long term bikes
1980-1986 Yamaha CT1a 175 enduro--- highschool into couple years of collage
1986-1998 Yamaha 650 Maxim-- Stone Hammer simple and reliable
1997-present BMW R100GS-- simple, but...

I usually don't hot rod other peoples bikes.. "EXCEPT" once...... A new yamaha RD 350 back in 1969.. I hit the gas, the next thing I saw was gas tank in my face. Since then I "DO NOT" punch any bike that's not mine. OMM.

Hahaha..... I was allowed to ride a Kawasaki 500 triple one time. I had ridden it about a half block slightly uphill. I opened it up.....bwaaahhh(no power)......then WAHHHHHHH!!!!!!......front tire came up a little...I slid back on the seat....hung on for dear life!!!!! Lesson learned. I haven't ridden that many, but that one was very memorable. Would not want to own one.

Hm, well, I was a motorcycle mechanic most of my life. So maybe a few thousand test rides on different bikes? Who knows. I've owned 30 plus bikes myself. My memory isn't that great.

I'm in the same boat as Werloc. Having worked in the Motorcycle trade for over 30 years has given me many chances to try different ones. The stand outs I can remember include a very hopped up RD-400 Daytona,Maico Mega 490,SC-500MX and a Turbo charged Harley Road King.
