Hey guys,

I am looking for some feedback and your ideas.

I am moving to another state and we are going to move with ABF's pods. I am 95% sure the TW will just fit in the pod but the company states that automobiles are not allowed to be packed. I should ask if I can pack a motocycle but I will take a wild guess and say, no.

So I bought my 2007 for $2500 and I love it. I could sell it here then re-buy something in my new home state (CO.). Or I could drain the gas and pack it up and act like I never read Do Not Pack List.

Damn, this sucks.

Thoughts?

Thank you,

Adam

My thoughts are drain the gas and oil ... disconnect the battery and ship it! If you do all of these things it should ship with zero problems... what the shipping company doesn't know won't hurt them.

Thankfully it isn't an issue now!

Good call about draining the bike and disconnecting the battery.

The battery is easy. The oil I can do just at the plug, but what is the best way to drain the gas?

I would pull the rubber line off your petcock and drain the tank. Does your carb have a drain screw on the bottom of the bowl? If so, just unscrew and that should drain the carb. If not, find dirt area and lean the bike on its side and the gas should generally drain out the bowl overflow.

checking with the DMV... your bike is not an automobile youre not doing anything they havent told you. soooo... drain gas, oil, and take out battery and remove the tank and put into a box that says DISHES.... hell, maybe even remove the wheels and tie to pallet. now all your shipping is highly refined scrap metal, some wire and a few plastic parts. , buy a new battery when you get there. speaking of getting there.... how about....

ROAD TRIP!

you know you want to... and when will you ever have a reason better than this?
