So here are the pegs

I had to grind the corner down to allow it to rotate upwards. The one on the right has already been done. Still need to do the one on the left.

The problem now is the the tw's foot pegs bracket hits the pegs where the black mark is. This impedes rotation as well as keeps the holes from lining up. So should I grind a groove into the pegs or grind the bracket down about 1/8"?

The oem spring does not fit in it so instead of grinding them down and compromising their strenth, I have the springs off my ebay pegs that will fit but I need another one. I posted my wtb in the classifieds. It is the one on the bottom of the pic that I need.

Do you really need the springs? What do they do that the weight of your foot and gravity don't take care of? I put my eBay pegs on and drilled holes for the springs and when I was done I thought it was waste of time.

I have considered the option. I don't really "need" the springs persay but I dont see the point of doing a job half-assed. And the last thing I need is another reason the fall on the trails and the fact that i'm oc doesnt help either.

As for cutting the pegs or the bracket, consider which part is more important. I would think cutting the brackets would be a cleaner job and less likely to mess up, but you gotta hope it won't mess with integrity. I think I've got a set in my part-out if you want spares.

That is what has me stumped. I really dont want to cut either one! How much for that spare set you have and what kind of condition are they in?

I finished one and marked on the other with sharpie what needs to be removed. They will not rotate up as much as the stock but go up about 40°.

I couldn't convince myself to spend $80 on some footpegs. So when I saw ims had their rm80 pegs at 50% off I jumped on it.

I finished up the project today and will post pics tomorrow. The paint is drying overnight. If I could just find those springs...

Finished them up and installed them earlier. Not sure how much they should retract but if I need yo I can take them off and grind them down a little more. What do you think?
