Worked on TW saturday. Noticed muffler hanging out about 6 inches. How the hell did I not notice that when I parked it after last ride! I guess I must have been tired and it was dark. The two mounting bolts were missing so fixed that and on to upgrades. Installed headlight stone guard, coleman seat pad. Took fuel tank off and layed it on side. Removed petcock lever plate, spring and plastic cone. polished cone with 3m scotch cleaning pad, light film of grease on oring seal and reinstalled. petcock is now alot easier to turn. Get bike ready for search for waterfall/swimming hole I had heard about at Knoxville OHV but had not found yet. Found it on Google earth so know where to go. Up highway 16 (stung by honey bee on my neck, ouch!)and across Cache creek low water bridge. Wow, Water level is really high, just under bridge. Guess they must be releasing water for farmers from Clear lake and/or Indian Valley reservoir. Up rolling hills and two dual sport bike coming other way, we wave. Past Davis Creek Reservoir (hey the seat pad does help!). Back on pavement for about a mile into Knoxville OHV. Found swimming hole (quite deep) on motorcycle trail. A few small quads came by but a large hunting quad would be quite the challege on this trail. Eat lunch at swimming hole and found another new trail. Up trail until it got quite steep and rocky. Had a fun time trying to get bike turned around next to steep ledge. Head home and got 73 MPG (very windy on start of ride).
