Want to install a kick starter on my 2008 TW200. I bought the "kit" from the local Yamaha dealer, so Im ready to go, the kit has all the instructions written in Japanese, plus, I can't hardly read the parts break down.



Does any have a better print and instructions in English. I have looked every where!

Adding a Kickstarter



There was only one part of the install that was not perfectly clear to me: there is a clip on the kick start gear. The leg of this clip needs to be inserted into a gap on the crank case - hard to do since the kick gear will be in the way! Also, make sure there is tension on the return spring before final assembly. You will know you did it right if the kick-start snaps back anti-clockwise and the kick gear fully disengages from the idler.



Also: Buy some gasket remover! It took me an hour to remove the old gasket. I should have soaked it in Permatex gasket remover first.

I need to order some gaskets then ill be swapping the kick starter from a 87 bike over to my 2008.
