The rec. areas are becoming crowded with people who are bored and a wee bit irritable. Im just glad no bikes were involved as there are usually way more M/Cs than 4x4s in this area.

This video was caught on a uninvolved drivers dash cam and according to the video the Tundra driver was not involved in the argument either but simply in the wrong place. The fight started off cam between the workmen and the SUV. The white SUV rams the truck several times and then spins a 360 to mow into the workmen.
The SUV driver had the wife and kids along for their afternoon entertainment but he is now in jail with a million dollar bail.
Remember to play nice.

In my minds better world, he would never again have any children under 18 in his possession to train.

You folks have the guy convicted before he gets a chance to tell his side. This is all taken out of context and there may be another side to it.

He might have done it out of self defence. Maybe he was drunk or hopped up on Crack and worried that he was about to get caught up in a big ole legal thing.

The reason I posted this is because it happened a couple hundred yards west of my adopt a trail and even closer to a m/c staging area. Normally the place is buzzing with dirt bikes but since the shutdown it has become crowded with SUV’s.
The SUV driver has an arrest record that could explain his behavior but it more important to avoid these people and the drama they bring.

Ok; so let's examine the video. There is a commentary that he may have had a conflict with the workers. But as the video starts - he is on the other side of and facing away from the conflict zone. So fearing for the safety of his little children and wife - could he have just driven away on that road in that direction? But; maybe the road was blocked by falling boulders and there was no way out in that direction; so he turned around. And; fearing for the lives of his little children he rams the truck in front of him that was blocking one side of the road multiple times - instead of going on the other side of the road that was not blocked by the vehicle.

But; maybe the truck that was blocking the one side of the road, was actually moving forward and backward trying to block whatever side of the road the white SUV tried to use. After being rammed a couple of times; the driver of that rammed truck takes off speeding down the road. So now; the driver of the white SUV who has a clear path ahead of him to drive away down the road and get away - and fearing for the lives of his little children and his wife - instead turns around in a circle to run over the two workers; and does in fact ram the two of them, before having to turn around again to finally be able to get away from the danger he fears.

Maybe he was drunk or hopped up on Crack and worried that he was about to get caught up in a big ole legal thing.
And here is where what I call The Moronification of America comes into play. The idea that if he was driving drunk or on Crack or worried about getting into legal trouble - you should take that into account and not hold it against him. What happened isn't really HIS fault. You should in no way consider removing the children from his custody for their safety. He has the right as the father to determine if ramming other vehicles and running over people with his children in his car is safe for them and the right way to raise them.

You would not; because YOU would have his children's safety on your mind.

And yet, you actually could; having their safety in mind; if you hopefully could make the shot - having determined that risking injury to the children at a spot where you can immediately render aid; is better then letting him drive away and possibly injuring them and others where there is no immediate aid - or killing everyone.
