KTMs seem to bring out the engineer in people.

That looks like an awesome system. I wonder how it would compare to the Christini system. Seems like the AWD itself would be superior...but the handling characteristics? At speed? Hmm. I suppose that's the reason this stuff hasn't really been taken seriously for the most part, because it hasn't really been able to improve top level race-bike performance (even in extreme enduro, it would seem).

What I'm waiting for is this type of technology to progress far enough to be viable for a Japanese OEM dual sport application. 2WD, 35 inch seat height, 325 pound, 350cc, fuel injected, six speed Japanese dual sport with good suspension and a drive train durable enough to do 50,000 highway miles. I shall carry on dreaming...
