Is $6500 OTD good pricing for the 2023 TW200 model?

Title kinda says it all, looking if this is a fair pricing for this unit. Looking to buy a unit this year.

Great info! Wasn’t sure if it’s high or if I should try! Thank you!
I know it does seem crazy I recall back around 2009 people would look at pairs of nice TW's I had for sale around $3k each and they would say we are just going to buy new they are only $3700 each new and literally 10 time out of 10 times they would call back the next day and ask if I still had my TW's for sale and they would buy them

The dealer was stacking on $2k per TW in fees and taxes etc and the people didn't know that til the dealer got them in the rubber room and put the pressure on to make the sale. the prices were so extreme people always said no and went and bought used

I've had great luck with people saying they would hold a TW I can recall twice that the bikes got sold out from under me (say 1 in 100 occurrence) once the guy wanted a $600 deposit which I sent but my email got caught in his spam that showed the tracking and the USPS was a day late on the delivery

He called me all angry and said I was scamming him (this is the BS that the other buyer fed to him to get him to sell it out from under me) and I told him the funds were in the mail as agreed. two days later he called me and sheepishly apologized but the bike had been sold at that point so all he could do was mail my postal money order back which he did

that was many years ago and now I always mention USPS is notorious for being slow when mail is critically important lol

the only other snafoo was a woman selling a Rokon and she was too flakey to offer to send a deposit and I was at a RUSH concert that I had paid $1000 for a front row center seat and I had to stay in the concert town for 3 days before I could head her way and again another buyer told her it was a scam although I asked her exactly what the scam was since she had the bike and the title and I never even got to see it lol

I have already done 5 purchases in 2023 at great distance where people held bike(s) w/o a deposit and it worked out fantastic

the guy I bought my 2022 from in Reno said back in November the local dealer called and said they had 2 come in and they had to assemble them so he arrived at 9am and bought one and he said there were two guys behind him that each wanted one but they bought the 2nd TW and the other guy was still looking but if he didn't get right down to the dealer they both would have been sold

I would advice NOT to purchase a new TW right now see my post below if you want to know why I think that

I paid $6,300 cash O.T.D. here in Southern California in March 2021. I asked for a couple tie-downs to be thrown in so I could get it home. Had to drive 2 hours away to snag the bike. View attachment 235052
That’s as good as a person can do in Cali I’ve seen dealer write ups as high as $7900 on Cali TWs

decent price but do not buy new TW prices are cratering fast and you can buy a 2022-23 today for $4500 and I bet next month $3500

I believe Mr. PL is referring to Used Pre-owned prices.
yes Mr Black Hills is correct theres a lot of 2022-23 TW's listed for around $4500 to $4900 lateky so I hate to see you drop $6500 on new

6 months ago those used TW's often under 100 miles were bringing $6000 to $6500 because of new TW shortages but those prices are officially history

This isn't just TW's I follow many bikes like the CRF450RL which was rarely seen used now theres 6 in Phoenix CL alone none have sold

I'm watching 2021-22 BMW R1250GSA which are usually good fast sellers but theres a decent deal on ADV rider going on it's 5th month for sale

I'm delivering a nice 2022 TW with 640 miles for $4995 tomorrow if the sale doesn't fall through I'll lose around $700 hard on that but I'm afraid if I keep it the prices are going to roll back to at least pre-covid top price of $3500 for ultra mint TW's

I realize some people have a thing about buying new and they can't be talked out of it I just think it's a $1500 to $2k loss the day you sign the papers
