I ask because it's hard to tell nowadays which ads are general to the site and which are targeted to the user via Google witchcraft.

Either way, whichever wizard decided that the GW250 is a viable alternative to the TW200 is missing a big point: A small-displacement dual-sport is a good choice for a first bike because it will continue to be fun in the dirt once the rider is ready for more on-road power. Point being, why buy a little street (ONLY!) bike that will soon leave you bored when you can buy a little dual-sport instead that will continue to be fun to ride thanks to its versatility?

There are plenty of times where my 650 feels like a slug to me on the slab, but the TW has yet to let me down off-road. I lust after sportier bikes for my on-road adventures, but in the dirt my TW is always up for more than I am.

So if you're an ad guy or a person looking for your first bike, keep in mind that small-displacement dual-sports will provide you with years of fun while small-displacement street bikes will get boring quickly, and then get traded in at a loss.

YMMV.

Hey that GW250 is an awesome bike. I was at the demo rides and all that was left was the GW250 so I thought well its better than waiting for the next run. It has soft suspension that soaks up the road better than almost any bike I have ridden, an extremely smooth fuel injected engine with a top speed of close to 150 km/hr, a smooth as butter gear box, excellent ergonomics with a comfy seat, great instrument cluster that includes a gear indicator. I love my FZ6 but every time I ride it I worry about loosing my licence because its just so easy. I really think its alot more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. My wife just got her full "M" licence and has been riding the TW but I think this might be a nice bike for her especially since right now I can pick up a non current for $3200 Cdn. Anyone else on the forum have a GW250?

My computer has been real slow and freezing up a lot and it is all due to the ads on this forum. I have multiple tabs open and if I close this tab all the problems go away. CPU usage was at 100% and memory was way up there too. The ads affected the way the computer ran every where. My mail program was like molasses.

I finally did some research and found a program to block the ads and my computer is back to running very well and fast. Click and its there. Before it was click and wait and wait and wait then there would be a change or a freeze. There is a down side -- if I want to watch a video on say Fox News I have to "allow it". There is a menu for turning the program on and off either temporarily or permanently for any specific website but it is worth the extra effort.

I Googled "Flash Block Firefox" and found this:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/flashblock/

It has only been a couple of days but so far I am happy. It is like I have a new computer though I have to temporarily allow this site if I want to post with paragraphs.

I seem to get just BMW ads, not GW? Totally clueless about blocking hardware etc but do run Apple over PC.

So . . . why would anyone want to watch a video from Fox News"? You could go ride instead.
