jUST took delivery on a BLACK OPAQUE Jimbo shield. I am tickeled pink. I swear I got an extra 3-5 miles per hour top end out of it . I run the same loop every day and know my speed markers... consistantly better top end speed.. Plus it looks great.. Easy installation ~ 5 minutes... A GREAT PRODUCT !!!
THANKS

What colors does he have now? I have the smoke and I love it. When I ordered he had smoke, orange and two shades of blue.

I ordered a Slipstreamer Spitfire shield a while back and have been disappointed with it, mostly because of how it directs air around your helmet which causes discomfort and noise (lots of noise). I've been looking at ways to remedy this (with the help of some people on this board), but in the end I have lately been running completely shield less and have been thinking about just looking for something to keep the wind off of my chest, rather than off of my face like I wanted in the beginning.

So then I see the Jimbo shield. How big of a difference can you feel while riding? Does it cause any buffering around your head, or does it mostly just keep wind off of your chest?

Sure looks a lot better than the Spitfire, that's for sure. Black is definitely the right color for your bike!

Totally bitchen...I have the opaque black and was concerned it would hamper my "looking at the front tire and wondering what it is doing." Hasent at all. It is quieter and has added a few MPH to my bike ... i am so jazzed. Installation was a breeze... and Id be happy with just the looks.. BUT , it is quieter and has helped the buffering ALOT, I am a beleiver !!!! THANKS AGAIN ~ JIM

The instrument lights got brighter too !!! Signal and nuetral indicator nice and bright...

Does anybody know if the other shields that are somewhat see-through, like the smoke or grey, help as well with making the instruments easier to see in the sunshine?

What is the product name and where did you buy the shield?
You have to at least try to find it for yourself before asking! It even says where to go in this thread. Go to classifieds, first thread!

Just got my Opaque Jet Black Jimbo Shield in the mail today. As stated above, 5 minute install and WOW! Above 50mph, it's like having a whole new bike (in a good way!)

Wind buffeting reduced at least 90%, instrument/indicator lights far more visible, just all around more enjoyable riding at highway speeds.

I used to find that I had to tuck in like I was racing a track bike to make it to 65 in a headwind, today I hit 70mph sitting upright and experienced virtually no buffeting. The improved aerodynamics reduce noise and air resistance, improving my confidence and comfort. Easily the best money I've spent since I left the Yamaha dealership with my TW!

Not to mention, it's a damn fine looking accessory if I say so myself:

Many thanks to Jimbo for a fine product and superlative customer service.

If you don't have one of these on your TW, you're missing out!

Yep, they are nice. One of my first upgrades. And easy to pop back off. don't have to remove the rubber grommets. I park my tall 4x4 truck in casino parking garage with tw in back at times. I remove shield and mirrors so don't chance ruining them....
