Good morning everyone, I just registered on this forum and I wanted to introduce myself.

I live in Milano, Italy, and I just bought a 1989 TW200E.

I have always been searching for an early model (mine is VIN 000319, could be earlier than 1989?)

but TW's were imported in Italy only from 1997, this one was personally imported from France by the

previous owner and registered in Italy in 1989, this is why I'm saying it's an 89, I have no clue on its

history before getting to Italy.

It has just 9000 kms on the clock (around 6K miles) and is in good shape apart from a cut fork boot.

I hope you like my bike and hope to understand more about it from this Forum.

Thanks!

Here's a picture of it!

Welcome! You will love this forum!

Lot's of good people here willing to help with your TW as needed.

Mine looks exactly like yours now, but getting ready to do some painting and some mods soon.

Enjoy that TW!!

Thanks everybody, I appreciate your welcome.

I'll try to understand more about the bike and give you a complete VIN.

Spring is slowly approaching here in Milano and I cannot wait to take

the TW on a trip, I just bought it last week, it was advertised for euro

1000, about $ 1.200.

I did not discuss the price as I was really happy to see an early one.

Nice find! I see from your signature that you have always been a fan of the fat tires.... Three Suzuki RV's!!! Wow, you are hardcore! Keep us posted on your upgrades. Also, I don't know about anyone else, but I'd love to see pics of your RV's as well.

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks!!!

It's actually my wife's bike, that was an engagement ring in the form of a motorcycle.....

it's been driven just over 3K mile in ten years....I bet she'd have used a true ring way more.

So.. am I the only one thinking the rubber on that TW is a bit out of the normal list of tires you can get for a TW? Picture doesn't show the back very well, but it doesn't *look* like a regular TW32/TW34. Looks closer to whatever's on the front. Did the EU folks get some set almost exactly between the bridgestone TW-streets and TW-dirts?

Also: very nice bike.
