New to the forum & had a question about this kickstarter kit. Wouldn't the 2000 model TW200 kick starter, which is still available to buy, work for a newer model bike? Here's the link..

That's one of the few methods to acquire a kickstart kit.

1. Piece together the kit yourself from parts websites

2. Pull the kickstart kit off of a another/dead/parts TW200

3. Buy a kickstart replica kit (if you can find them). As the one primarily mentioned in this post is no longer available until he can find a new parts supplier.

I bought the clone kit from Sebastian a while ago on a Facebook special he had and installed it. Shipping was fast. No duties to Canada. Exceptionally well packaged.

My installation was easier than expected. First of all the gear set is already assembled. Secondly, I got lucky and the case separated easily. So easily, I was able to reuse the cover gasket. It was perfect.

There are some instructions in German on his website. The pictures are helpful.

The kicker works just fine. The lever sticks out just a little bit more than a stock kit.

I recommend.

I am new to this forum. I need to add a kickstarter to my 2003 TW 200 I just bought. Want to do it right and have $$$ can you advise me? My email is [email protected]. Thanks Tom

Edited for Ski

What advice do you suspect you'll get VIA email that would exceed the quality of what could be provided by myself or others here in the forum?

Talking dirty about kickstarters over email is just not my cup of tea. If that's what you were going for. I'm more of a take-me-to-a-nice-dinner-and-give-me-a-shoulder-rub kinda guy.

Unfortunately you'll have to contend with my girlfriend... who would not take kindly to anyone but a professional giving me a shoulder rub... your move, TOM... and (possibly) your funeral.

Maybe. It's hard to tell from the avatar photo.
This is a weird request by "Tom" when all the info is already in the forum to which "Tom" actually quoted TWBigBlake. I'd be leery of emailing "Tom" any info which is readily available here.
I have suspicions but no proof of scammer but it's not a normal request.

While it would be wildly unwelcome and unappreciated, I might find a tiny bit of flattery in the situation... it's been a hot minute since I've been hit on in front of such a broad audience...

I was starting to think I've lost my sex appeal.

Just sourced another kickstarter gear assembly from a site I just came across... oemdirtbikeparts.com

Trying to get them to respond regarding availability, but for those of you seeking kickstarters, if Sebastian doesn't have stuff available, this could be a viable alternative. Website shows it's been updated 2022, so it might be accurate, looks like they pull a lot of factory leftovers and parts off of bikes.

If anyone does purchase a kickstart gear assembly from them, it would be good to know how the process went, and the condition of the parts received.
