I had to get out today and find some fall colors so I could enter chevyluvr's photo contest. Great choice, Delboy. I also love the beauty of the fall season. Since it hasn't been cold enough around home for much to change colors I headed for the nearest mountain, Kolob. The road to Kolob reservoir cuts through the fringes of Zion National Park so I not only have some fall colors to show but some nice scenery, too.



At one time everyone traveling to Zion National Park from the west traveled on this road. It was probably in a little better shape then.

A fire went through here a few years ago and burned up the trees.

I was just up north from there by Hatch, did some fishing, came back down through Zion. That whole area is so beautiful. If i could figure out how to post pics i would put a couple up!

Those are some really nice fall color photo's from your neck of the woods, or sagebrush!

Last year on our family vacation (TW less, boo hoo), we came back from the Grand Canyon from Page, Kanab, and on up 89. Gotta take the back roads you know (no freeways). For me I'm continually amazed at the beauty of the more arrid area's and want to get down your way on a TW trip someday. An old highway or road, bypassed or less traveled in favor of the "quick route", always catches my eye.

Thanks! The T-dub is my freedom machine. I love to ride motorcycles, but also truly enjoy exploring the out of the way places that I've never been before. Dirt roads and trails are my favorite.

Thanks. Yeah, the pictures don't really do it justice; I'm still learning as far as photographic skills are concerned.
