Yesterday I installed a set of Rox pivoting risers on my 2011 bike with 1100 miles, after I finished, I was making minor adjustments to the cables when I noticed a bit of brake fluid on the outside of the reservoir—or is it called the master cylinder.? When I squeezed the brake lever, a tiny bit of fluid seeped out from between the cover and the body of the reservoir.

I checked the tightness of the cover screws, but they were snug.

After I squeezed the lever a few more times the fluid stopped seeping out.

Note: the bike has been sitting for the past month.

Any thoughts on what I should check? Is there a gasket?

when you remove the cap their is a rubber gasket/boot/diaphragm that fluid could have gotten on top of somehow and maybe caused it. May pull the cap and make sure that it isn't damaged and somehow causing the leak. Do be careful with the screws holding the cap in place, they are usually ridiculously tight and strip easy
