Jay Leno is one impressively good person.
No other late night talk show host before, and especially after, can entertain as wide an audience as he did without offense. Current late night options have no appeal by contrast.
His steam engine burns had him cancel his live performances here and elsewhere.
Wishing him speedy recovery and no more getting clotheslined off his bike.

clotheslined on an Los Angeles street ???

is this for real and if so why isn't this a major man hunt looking for the perp who is stringing up city streets

OR

did Jay turn into a closed street ie construction zone etc the article vaguely hints he turned to a street and wasn't fully paying attention

PS I see this article says he was riding through a parking lot and still doesn't specify what he hit or exactly what was tied across etc

I've always been a fan of Leno's, even saw him do a live show in Vegas ~10 years ago. He should be an inspiration for any Gear Head!

The wire stretched across the parking lot he hit should have been marked. I'm guessing the property owner will be facing a lawsuit at minimum. It's fairly common practice here in So.Cal. for people to cut-through parking lots to get around stopped right-turn traffic. It's an annoying practice, but as far as I know, not illegal, though many property owners think it is. Local gas station owner near me looses his mind every time someone does it, then again he's wound a bit tight.
