I need to rise the TW just a few inches to service my chain. I’m using a normal car jack with a robust plank of plywood to go between jack and TW skid plate. Which side should I use? Kickstand or the opposite side? Thank you for the help

RIMG2041.JPG If you're looking to just clean and lube the chain, leave the kickstand down, use just the jack, and lift from the opposite side. It'll tilt the bike and make a relatively stable tripod out of it, lifting the rear wheel of the ground at the same time.
I often use a neater method. A pair of heavy eye hooks screwed into a beam (or beams) above and a pair of ratchet straps. Lift bike by handlebars, passenger foot peg loops or rear subframe. Safe, simple and versatile. In the pic you can just see a orange strap at the bars.
