Greetings fellow TW afflicted folks. Just replaced my quad with an 87 Tdub here on the farm. I'd love to be able to turn off the head light but am concerned about the coil.

Anyone out there done this successfully? Headlight spoils my stealth mode an lets the coyotes get away.

Thanks

Will

Replace the load of the bulb with a resistor of of approximately equal ohms (about 2.8) and amps (at least 4.5) as the headlight. A bit of dark, thick felt and some sticky-back Velcro will work just as well.

I was concerned about having a 'no load' on the early systems dedicated coil. I am grateful for the suggestions.

Resistors I had thought of but not just a simple cover an velcro. I just love simple solutions.

Simple solutions for simple minds I say.

P.S. How many TW people out there have fond memories of Honda Mini trail 50s? (I find the TW to be the adult equivelent)
