long steep uphills?

AlaskaTdub is right on track. With the exception of soft dirt, sand, or very loose rocks while going uphill, if I otherwise loose momentum...I shouldn't be attempting it. I have always found it easier to go uphill than down. Nowday's part of my uphill rationalization is...how will I get back down without the UH OH factor!

Also, if you have to ride on the highway a lot to get to where you are going you will probably want to add some air after boon docking.

But, do use caution when hill climbing!

Great advice. Which is why sometimes I take a small air compressor to air up my tires when back on the pavement from a dirt ride which I hook up to a power outlet I intalled.
