I extended the stock lever 1 1/4, made a bracket for the cable 1 1/4 longer, filed the top of the existing cable stop for the bracket to bolt up flush, reassembled.

Nice work Dog. I'm worried that you may now have to much leverage on a filed down, cast aluminum cable stop. Your thoughts?

I thought there would be heavy leverage but there is not any leverage on that part it works as a guide only. The leverage is on the bottom lever and your hand lever if that makes sense. Felt braking much improved.

I filed the half moon out only, but got some skuffs on the cable stop, it is still the same thickness.
