Yeah, been there, use the t-shirt for a shop rag.

Walk into the Verizon store with the old phone and your ID.
They'll have the service switched to the old phone by the time you walk out.

Had to do this three different times, with two broken, and one lost phone.

Verizon should quickly give you a new sim card to install in old phone at no charge (subcriber information module?)Should take just a few minutes at any Verizon store. Ask them to help reload address book contact information if you are not good at it. Often contact info is automatically backed up and thus available. Then you should be back in business.

I see others beat me with good answers. Can't help with parking semi though, sorry.

New Phone Old Number

1) call *22898 from new phone
2) option 2
3) enter phone number
4) enter account security code

Thanks, everyone.

Sort of. Driving is just part of my job. I also get to take new hires out on the road and turn them into truckers. Since my newbie retention rates are 400+% higher than the company average I've been asked to rewrite the curricula for new drivers and instructor training programs. It's nice to be with a company that rewards my successes.
