Looks like Tostada has a good home with you, thought at first you were going out to set her free. set-urself-free-1.jpg

Neat thing about ruts is that once you are in the rut you no longer need to worry about slipping into it. Down on the rut bottom you no longer have that potential energy like on the high ground to slip sideways...sometimes potential energy can be just potential trouble.

Very enjoyble video!

This was recorded a week or two before Ocotillo.
Fun ride and even challenging yourself by riding in the ruts. Is Mark your brother or another rider? He seemed to struggle just a smidge more than yourself. I love how you ended it with him walking up the trail. Sounds like you've made it to the "I'll tolerate the sand" stage but not yet comfortable. I don't fear sand like I used to but it has taken me a long time to get to this point. I still suck at riding in mud. To me it's like riding on ice. ...and then to have that tricky "it looks ok but isn't" mud, yeah I've taken a tumble or thirty because of that kind of stuff.

Fun ride to watch for sure. Probably way better to have been able to ride it. Thanks for sharing.

Correct. Mark is my brother.

He’s struggling and gets frustrated. He’s lucky if he gets 2 rides per month. For that same reason it's almost like he’s mounting the bike for the first time every time he rides. I guess it would be hard for anyone to advance given those parameters? Hopefully the small victories keep him twisting the throttle!

That is exactly where I'm at as far as sand goes! I can sense my brain/body wanting to hit the switch and just attack it, but then those pesky laws of self preservation always kick in :laughing7:

Be freeeeee! Unfortunately, I think it is just as illegal to release a (store bought/pet) tortoise into the wild as it is to take one.

That is very true, haha! Cut to the chase and get it over with:D

Good ride & vid Nick.
Looks like you and Mr. Mo Mentum are becoming good friends!
Tell Mark to keep after it...does he have his bike set up well?
"Hours in the saddle" is the main thing.
Why are all the trails, roads, markers, etc. out there?
Private or public land?

Thanks, Darth!

Is he related to Mr. Mojo Risin?! ;)

It’s funny how little things click into place from week to week. Momentum is my buddy ol chum!

His bike is set up and ready for action…lack of seat time is exactly what the problem is.

It’s all/mostly BLM land. The markers are the legal trails/routes.
