The seat doesn't sit flush like before because it's sitting on the sides & back brackets, and the side brackets don't follow quite the same contour of the plastic (bodywork).

Mine doesn't have that much gap, but a little. Enough I noticed, and will get it back flush.

Your seat isn't sitting as flush as it would be without the rack.....meaning following along the bodywork.

The issue (slight as it may be) in your pic is the back bottom part of the seat sits on the bracket creating the bit of gap seen right there under the seat.

It's just a cosmetic thing is all. May not be a bother for some.

My seat sits flat on the bracket, his does not.
