i live where ther is tons of SOFT SAND,with the stock front tire its squirly as heck,im thinking of a Pirelli MT 21 Rallycross Rear Tire 140/80/18,,or a Kenda K270 Dual Purpose Rear Tire 5.10/18,up front ,anyone done this or have any other options other than the rear tw tire/bw fork mod??

If you ride on the street too, then the two options you mentioned, plus the Michelin T63 and Dunlop 606 are excellent options. If your street needs are limited, the Kenda 760 TrakMaster is a good choice. If you do a search, you'll find a thread that discusses the pros/cons of the different rear tires that can be used on the front.

Rear tires such as the K760 are not designed to provide good straight-line stability, and they don't, on or off pavement. The vague, wobbly feeling (especially when new) takes some getting used to, but when heeled over in the corners those closely spaced side knobs dig in and such tires come into their own. It takes a while to learn to trust them in the turns, but they do work exceptionally well. Also, typical dualsports with skinny front tires will not be able to stop if you grab a handful of front brake, and they will run over you. Watch your 6!

I run the Kenda K270 (5.10/18) and like it a lot. It rides a little different on pavement but I like it. After 15 minutes I was adjusted to it. Offroad has been great so far. Haven't tried it in sand yet...

kool keep me posted, that tire doesnt hit fender mounts?oh and for those guys running an atv tire in the rear check out this bad boy for up front, lol,i used it years ago on the back of a tt350 its sick it not only streched the chain it also streched the spokes so bad i had to respoke the rim,,,no such thing as too much traction huh http://www.mandhtires.com/store.php?crn=68&rn=285&action=show_detail

i dunno i figured with the atv on rear it would work ,,i know its the ultimate on the rear of any 350 or bigger dirt bike

It would probably look all mean and stuff, but I really think it would blow. Rear tires can be crazy aggressive as they just provide forward traction and hook-up... But fronts need different characteristics for helping control turning and braking, etc.

But hey, maybe somebody is brave enough to try it out and report their findings!

The Terraflex looks like it has a rounder profile and lower void ratio down the middle of the tread. I'm thinking it might be slightly less aggressive than a K760 in straight-line traction, and just maybe not have the wobblies at speed as bad as the K760. Plus, it is fatter, and I like fat tires. Question is, will it fit? Your thoughts?

dunno 4 sure the guy at motorcycle superstore said that a 140/80/18 measures about 5.5 in wide and the 80 means 80% of with is hight apx 4.4 in hight profile i think it will fit ,,,worse case senario you move fender up and mount to fork bracket.if you do that,,(which im considering),, then a 150/70/18 will fit,,(motorcycle superstore #44172 or140485)come in that size,,i wish theyd make one like a stock front tire tred paturn with a 1 in tred depth ,,Maxxis M957 Razr Cross Front atv Tire i wish,,or Kenda K284 Front Max A/T Front Tire ,, a dude changed the front end out to fit a rear tw rim and tire,http://tw200forum.com/index.php?/to...-tww-mod-two-wide-wheels-fat-front-wheel-mod/,, but that must ad a lot of weight up front,at that rate get a bw200 or 350 and a street leagle kit

I don't care much for the Scorpian's tread pattern--looks like it would stop well, but not corner for anything. The TKC tread patterm is all squares. I think the variety of angles of the Teraflex's knobs would provide better all-around traction than any tire with square knobs.

let me know if u try the teraflex in soft sand,im concidering it up front, when i had it on the back of my tt350 it hooked up everywhere,so much so i had to respoke my rim(streched them beyond adjustment lol)ps if u move the fender up the teraflex make a 150/19/18, if bigger is better lol,,http://www.motorace.com/miva/merchant.mv?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=M&Category_Code=Teraflex

Tdub's K760 only has about 800 miles on it and it's not likely to see any use for the rest of this year. I don't do much more than run errands in town and ride 3 miles to work anymore. Life sucks.
