There is some gorgeous country over there, I drove over McKenzie Pass (Hwy. 242) over the summer. Unfortunately, it wasn't on my T'Dub. It did make me want to spend months wandering around central Oregon enjoying the backroads, gravel roads and trails enjoying the scenery.

Really, you just told everyone about our backyard secret. The Deschutes National Forest. Really. Miles and Miles and yes so many more Miles of Smiles. It truly is an amazing place. And the Metolius River. Take your Tenkara Rod. Really all, this area is incredible. Fun Fun Fun. Not to be passed up, it's like the TW was made just for this place.

Hey, I figured that if they could find Hwy 242 then they deserved to ride it! ;)

I'm still not sure how I ended up there! Oh, wait, I remember - a road closure and a 2+ hour detour, then my curiosity got the best of me and added at least another hour. :p I took the really long route to Bend that day.
