Somewhat inaccurate overview of the history of the case and how it has been resolved, dispite the efforts of The Irrelevent Modern Acronym folks:

Here's an explanation of why it matters, because The Irrelevent Modern Acronym folks were headed straight for our national cemetaries next:

The second link is a religious website, scroll to the lower paragraphs if that offendeth thee, pilgrim.

The cross sat unmolested since the '30's offending no one. Originally erected as one man's tribute to a fallen friend, the site served as the location for local Easter Sunrise services since the horse and buggy days prior being gobbled up in the Mojave Preserve debaucle. It has been subsequently destroyed by forces aligned with The Irrelevent Modern Acronym folks and will now require reconstruction, but at long last this pointless and unjustifiable exercise is over.

Why this matters to those of us who ride is that most of the more creative methods of gaining land closures that affect us nationally are spawned, tested and either passed or defeated as a result of the efforts of my neighbors right here in the largest county in the U.S.

In other words, we be on it. Constantly.
