Earlier this week I had occasion to visit the local hospital for a radar or x-ray or whatever they call it. Anyway, I looked for, and found "motorcycle only" parking area. When I parked, I took notice of something which looked slightly out of place...m a y b e!

A country hick TW nestled in nicely with them shinny pretty boy city slicker bikes. (BTW, mine still has dirt on it from our last ride to Crutcher's Crossing) Giggle

Anyway, I enjoy my TW so much!

Oh yeah! I yike it! I'll take the TW over any of those city slicker bikes any old day, cause I enjoy my TW, too. Now, if you passed an LEO on the way to the hospital you probably got radared. At the hospital I'm pretty sure you got X-Rayed. I hope they found everything just the way it's supposed to be.

I work at the local university and park in these little MC-only lots every day. Always interesting to see the lineup!

I was saddling up the TW a few months back when a college kid started saddling up the GSXR parked next to me. I turned to him and -deadpan- asked, "hey man, you wanna race?"

I guess he just wasn't up to challenging the mighty TW!

Evidently missing my joke, he replied, "Sorry man, I've got too many speeding tickets already." Not a grin, not a chuckle.

I explained that I was just pulling his leg, and he explained that earlier that week he actually had received a pretty expensive ticket from a TPD motorcycle cop.

I can understand his lack of humor in light of that, one of Tucson's finest decided he needed a closer look at me and my KLR about a month ago. I got out of it with traffic school but even that was expensive and time consuming enough to wipe the smile off my face for awhile.

So that's my story about radar.

Admiral, here's hoping your X-ray story has a happier ending!

Well, if you get to pick the place to race! How 'bout that one trail where you had to walk out. You could point him in that direction. Guessing it wouldn't be

going fast on that trail with his GSXR

Thought it was rather amusing when I pulled into the m/c only parking area with my very dirty unkept TW and saw all these big/faster/and shinny motorcycles:D.

Long story short, after some minor treatment, my knee hasn't felt so good. I forgot what it felt like to walk without pain. Good to go now!

When those chromey Harley Riders snicker at my TW I ask them if they'd like to go offroad trail riding. The TW can go -anywhere-. Not a claim they can make. :)
