I was fed up of blocked fins, muddy spark plug and a mud jammed front wheel.

So I made a template...

Marked up a small workshop bin...

Made a lot of noise with a jig saw and...

Screwed it to the bike, also some spacers fitted....

Tried it out this afternoon, worked well, shame I broke a mirror diving off a slimy rut.

Nice mod. Simple and affective.

I see you are from Wiltshire, do you go riding on Salsbury Plain?

I'm building up to it.

Many moons ago I spent many 'fun' days and nights there with the TA and I miss it dearly.

I recently joined the 'Great Escape Motorcycle Club' in order to receive a legitimate insight to the routes across SPATA.

Hopefully I'll be able to hook up with them soon.

At the moment I am exploring the considerable amount of By-Ways in my local area.

Many of them are fragmented and messy but a challenge to ride and connect together.

The Plain is along way from you, do you do there?

The Plain is really too far for me to ride the TW to on the main roads unfortunately, but like you I ride the local by-ways on the TW and often get lost although I'm only a few miles from home.

I had a brief look at your RVF web site. That looks like a nice project. Years ago I had a VFR400 NC24, and loved it but now I can not get comfortable on sports bikes. I only ride more upright bikes now.
Oh the british inginuity here at work again!! I want a set of thoses flaps for my bike!!!
