I need to know if 89 tw forks require you to remove the damper rod from the top with an extension or if it is bolted into the bottom. I know the early forks are different. Just not how... Busted fork seals in case you were wondering. Also what size hex will i need if you go in from the top? Thanks :)

I'm not sure I can do that. Are there other options? My friend has hex tools for it but he used 14mm on his ttr125.

Lots of ways to skin a cat...........................

I think this is a 3/4" bolt, nut, and washer -- could be 19mm. I used a deep 3/4' socket and long extension and a piece of duct tape. Worked well and was cheap.

I saw somebody used a 19mm socket, and a 12mm coupling nut. So I will try that this weekend.
