I have had this bike since i was 14, (I am currently 19) and i love the dam thing. I could easily sell it and buy a newer bike but there is no chance in hell of that. I need mirrors, and some advice on problems that i am having. My bikes lights are very dim while at idle but when i am riding they are as bright as they should be. What would cause that? I need to buy the mirrors, and a new luggage rack and was willing if anyone would be able to help me find a cheap set because i just registered it and started to ride on the road.

I bought one of these cheapo folding mirrors and put it on the left grip. Generally I have it folded down underneath the bar... It lets me see what is behind me rather than just my shoulder.

Pretty sure the 1987 model has a headlight that is wired directly to the stator in the motor? might be wrong on this but if correct, it is only getting power when the bike is running, and will get less power at low rpm than high rpm. Does the headlight come on when you turn the key on (with a good battery)?

Best of luck!
