Ive been searching for this a good amount, but I really didnt find the exact answer I was looking for. I recently bought a 2006 TW, and I want to lower it a little bit. I am 5'2", 130 lbs with about a 28" inseam. Right now I can tippy toe on both sides of the bike, but I would feel a little more comfortable if I can touch with atleast the balls of my feet.

I was reading about drilling a hole in the swingarm and about replacing the shock with one from a Vstar 1100.

I have a couple questions about this for anyone who has done these mods.

- How much does this lower the bike?

- Does this still leave adequate suspension travel?

- Will a V-Star 650 shock work as well?

- Are there any other ways to slightly lower the bike that I am missing?

So I can lower the forks without touching the rear suspension on the bike? How will that effect the handling?
Usually, you lower the front and rear equally to keep the same steering geometry.
