I need to borrow a speedometer with more than 7500 miles on it. I'll neither confirm, nor deny what this is for, but I'm sure you can guess. I need it for about an hour or two, and I need it ASAP. I'm located in San Francisco, so local to the bay area would be awesome, but if not, I'd be more than happy to pay priority mail shipping both ways. ...And if you need some compensation, I'll be happy to provide that too. Heck, I'd even throw in a world famous tool tube or something as a thanks.

Our speedo is quite common through the Yamaha years, Go to a wrecking yard and kick around the old Yamahas. Or is it that only New Mexico has MC wrecking yards. Heck some of my friends have them in their backyards. Tom

Yes, I've noticed this speedo on other bikes too, and as a last-resort, I'll go dig through salvage yards.







If anyone has a speedo with 7500+ miles that they're not comfortable loaning to me overnight, I'd be open to buying your used speedo too. (although a quick borrow would be much preferred)

Brian threw me a really generous offer. I've followed up with him, and am waiting to hear back. The bike that I need the speedo for has about 500 miles on it, and is all nice and new and shiny looking. Best case scenario, is if I find a good looking speedo that doesn't look out of place on the bike, and that has as close to the 7500 mile mark as possible... don't want to raise any eyebrows with the folks in the office who need to look at it.



Happy to buy it, rent it, or throw a tool tube and some beer money someones way... just need it ASAP!

I have a speedometer unit with idiot lights from a 2006 Yamaha xt225 with 7,005 miles on it that I was going to post on Ebay.



Was working fine when removed last year.



Although the xt225 speedometer looks the same as the unit on my 2006 TW200, Yamaha parts manuals show a different part number.



Mine looks just like Ebay item # 370758271889.



$60 and I can ship Priority Mail tomorrow morning.
