So as alot of you know my bike has been broken down from a dropped valve. I found this company just from a google search and noticed they were actually located in Indiana pretty close to where I live. Prices seemed fine, shipping was pretty bad but that seems to be the norm alot of these days. Anyway I ordered August 2nd, it has been 20 days and I'm still waiting on 2!! parts. Parts that were supposedly shipping Friday 13th. Enjoy these emails... Newest first btw...

Whitewash,

I apologize for the mis-information from one of our employees. Were having a little bit of trouble with our new accounting software. I'm showing that all but 1 of part 93440-10085-00 CIRCLIP,OUTER, and 1 of part 5H0-11133-11-00 GDE,INTK VLV 1 O/S, were shipped out on the 12th under USPS tracking number 999999999999999. Your two missing parts will be delivered too us and shipped too you today. I do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and please bear with us during our difficulty with this changeover.

8 days and my order hasn't shipped? Whats the deal?

The last email I sent them was on the 19th yet again asking about the "shipped" parts, and have recieved no reply..

I'm most aggrivated about how long my bike has been down and now I'm starting to lose interest in even riding it again because of this headache. I think I'll go to a dealer tomorrow and see how fast they could get the remaining parts in and fix the head.

Now I understand that these guys are just a middleman, but when a business can't even adhere to their own policies something is definately flawed.

Sorry for the rant but I'm at my wits-end with this...

Update: Been on hold for over an hour. I'm givin up, time to go home.

Sounds like my experience with the california dmv. Wait on hold for an hour, then given the wrong information. So I have to call back and wait on hold again.

Sorry for your experience.

For future reference I have always had good luck with Bikebandit.com

Well good news guys!! My parts were sitting in my mailbox when I came home tonight. Since these problems I have found numerous other people who've had issues with them too. The main reason from ordering from them was that I had ordered from them once before and everything went great. They are just so close to me I had to give in for the shipping time. The package I recieved today was just postmarked on the 20th. To bad it was a mess just getting it shipped. I hope they can get whatever they need to figured out, but it seems they've got a big hole to dig themselves out of now. Oh well, off to the shop I'll go tomorrow with everything in tow. Hopefully that will go alot smoother.

In this day and age, it seems technology and luck allows many businesses to look bigger than they are in reality. Case in point; many years ago I decided to go into 'business' makeing a tear-drop bicycle trailer. I had a Friend that had recently graduated with honors with a degree in 'Graphic Design' and worked with a large local firm. She was able to design me a very nice brochure, the likes of which I could never afford. The long and the short of this is, I had three yards of fiberglass cloth and two gallons of resin and was fabbing this stuff in my rented carport. The brochure on the other hand was so nice as to suggest a viable business in a nice Industrial Park.

A couple of years ago I had occasion to order a 55 tooth rear sprocket from Sprocket Specialists. Since their 'plant' was a reasonable drive away, instead of shipping, I opted to drive out and pick it up. What I found was a "very modest" metal building surrounded by a chip-rock driveway and parking lot located behind a couple of old houses out in old pasture land in rural Oroville, CA.

After that transaction and more recently, I attempted to order a couple of primary sprockets through my local Yamaha dealer. While I was at the counter, the parts guy called and placed my order with Sprocket Specialists. I was left with the impression that I would have my sprockets in a week or so. After two months, I told my Yamaha dealer to cancel my order. The two times the parts guy called the folks at Sprocket Specialists he was given a different reason for the delay. Given the economy, my thought was, this small, perhaps marginal business could not afford to spend money fabricating catalog listed parts for obscure bikes until their cash flow was more secure and more important obligations were met. Guess we need to keep each other informed. Gerry (CEO of Pac Wagon Bicycle trailers)

anyone had any luck with www.babbittsonline.com ??

i have ordered through them twice and the first time the shipping took a week longer than quoted, the second time it was over a month..

i need to order some parts soon and i am hesitant to try for a third time.

lets see, 1st time one week, second time one month....if my dedudctive reasoning skills are right the third time should take a year to get my parts.

i ordered some jets from cheap parts, they got here ok but took a little over a week to do so. i guess i got lucky.

However i did Order some exhaust from the Joker Racing and it has not arrived yet. I called them and asked where it was cause i got an email saying "order processed and shipped" He did some checking and found my order has not shipped because they don't have it in stock.Says they have to "make one" and it should ship out today 9/10/10 at the latest. Well i guess i will give him a call Monday and see if it is on the way or just a figment of our imagination.

9/14/10

Got an update . Exhaust manufacturer is doing a production run right now and they should be ready to ship by the end of the week. The man at the factory also confirmed this rumor, so my fingers are crossed.

Here's my opinion should anyone care. I have worked for a company for twenty years. Truly, it strikes me as 'foolish' the length that "we" seem to go through to keep customers happy. Still I talk to folks that are "pissed" and rant on and on about how they will tell everyone on the planet how we are crooks. Frankly, I am surprized that we are still in business with all the stuff we give away "because".

EVERY business has a "bad" day (s). I would say lets forgo the "don't buy from" statement. Present your case and let the rest of us consumers decide. If this is how these businesses conduct themselves day to day, it is hard to imagine they would last a couple of months.

Charles made a 'don't buy statement' about a company that I purchased a fine product from with no problem at all (online). Granted, the experience Charles shared certainly indicated that a 'company representative' acted like a "jerk" but no reason (my opinion) to 'Black-Ball' the company.

By all means, state your case, but let us decide............ Thanks, Gerry

I've ordered from www.stadiumyamaha.com several times. If an item will be backordered it is noted on the page were you would click to place the item in your basket with the worde "backordered" in bold and a different color right by the item description.

From Stadium Yamaha's website:

Other sites might have slightly lower "cost + shipping" but nobody beats Stadium's service.

I called Stadium Yamaha on a day I expected them to be closed. All I wanted to do was leave a message on their machine about my order.

Seems the "OWNER" was in the office and concerned enough to pick up the phone. He listened to my reason for calling and indicated that a rep. would call me back first thing the next day to address the 'issue'. Sure enough, the next day before I left the house for work, a sales guy from Stadium Yamaha gave me a call and I was able to make some changes on my order.

Perhaps it was a fluke, but it left me feeling that these folks are serious about doing a GREAT job. Gerry
